Beautiful Tattoos - Ever thought about the work that goes into them?

Like you, I love tattoos, I think they're great pieces of art that can live and grow with you for the rest of your lives. Living, breathing artwork can make the ultimate statement for many people but have you ever really stopped to think abouth what is involved in creating a tattoo?

Firstly, let's look at the skill that's involved in creating a tattoo. The confidence that's required from the artist to make their permenant mark on somebody's body must create pressure's unknown to the everyday man. The artistic skill required to please your client need be so faultless that not even one drop of ink may be out of place.

Outside all of the artistry you then have to consider the tattoo equipment that is required to make your tattoo a reality. In it's most basic form it consists of a needle and in, but in today's world Tattoo artists must adhere to strict health and safety guidelines to ensure that their clients are safe and happy.

Power supplies, tattoo machines, needles, inks and tubes are part of the tattooists trade kit. Medical supplies are also important to ensure that the artist can guarantee their client a clean and safe recovery period after the tattoo is first placed.

Your tattoo is a real piece of art that will be with you for the rest of your life. You should ensure that your tattoo artist is using only the best quality tatto equipment to produce your tattoo and seek references from past clients before going ahead with your artwork.

There's something about this tattoo I absolutely love - it was a tattooist submission from Karla Hansen, who writes:

"Hi my name is Karla and I am a tattoo artist from Auckland, New Zealand, I recently did this tattoo on my husband Alex. It's a Chris Sanders design, the director/art director/character designer for movies sucjh as "Lilo and Stitch" and "How to train your Dragon" hope you and your followers like!!"

Thanks Karla!
